Tom Sulyma – President

Tom has over 34 years of senior management experience within the ICI and Residential construction sectors with many of those years as a Vice President of Operations and Business Development specializing in commercial/retail and office construction, completing hundreds of turn-key projects for top branded companies throughout North America ranging in size from $35K to over $20mm in value.

Tom’s diverse experience inclusive of asbestos abatement through to design and ground up construction along with his leadership skills, commitment and dedication to client satisfaction are the key in leading Synerex Construction Group Inc.

Tom also possess certificates in Construction Law, Matters of Materials, Project Management, Advanced Architectural Blueprint Reading, Strengths of Materials.

Glen Steel – V.P. Sales, National Accounts

Glen brings with him hands on site experience working with Sub-Trades, City officials, Architects, Engineers, Designers – from the Application to the Management perspective.

Glen has a dedicated focus on customer relationship well-being, and draws from his many years of Canadian and US Sales, Operations, and Marketing knowledge to provide our all-important corporate customers with healthy, equitable and viable, solution driven experiences.

Glen understands the construction industry, especially from the client’s perspective and as such, can quickly and decisively adapt to any of our client’s challenges.

Glen has successfully completed and holds Certificates in Marketing 1, 2, and 3; Drafting; Blueprint Reading; Design Principles; and has recognition from Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology for developing the Coating Fundamentals C.T.O.P (Construction Trades Orientation Program) course and implementation through a tutored class room setting.

Lori McIsaac – Senior Project Manager

Lori comes to Synerex Construction Group Inc. with over 15 years experience overseeing new construction, renovations and program roll-outs across Canada within franchised systems. Her love of the construction process began with a full renovation of her first home where she admits to getting hooked on the process from the beginning.  This passion led her to attaining her PMP certification and pursuing her career as a project manager. She is currently studying for her LEED Green Associate   credentials.

Having worked with some of the larger franchised brands in Canada, Lori brings in-depth knowledge of the unique challenges that come with navigating multi-unit projects and brands.  Her experience includes managing projects within mall units, strip plaza’s, free standing units and amusement parks, as well as program roll-outs across Canada.

With a make-it-happen attitude and genuine enthusiasm for project management, she loves the challenge each project brings and the team approach needed to pull it all together.  Building relationships with stakeholders, engaging the Synerex team and ensuring we deliver on the projects objectives is where it all comes together for Lori.

Matt Sulyma – Project Manager

Although Matt’s initial schooling and sights were focused on Marketing and Advertising he soon realized that after having a taste of working within the construction industry his passion was re-focused to that of being an integral part within the commercial retail and office sector.

At Synerex, Matt is a primary Project Manager and he is well versed in taking any project from concept to completion ensuring not to compromise quality or detail. Whether it is a smaller $50K project or that of $500K and up, Matt is dedicated to deliver the project on time and within budget.

Matt holds Certificates in Project Management, Site Supervision, WHMIS, Priority Management as well as holding a Certificate as a Master Class Bartender.

Matt is well versed in daily client updates and progress pictures, client software implementation, scheduling and milestone management. With Matt, quality is not an option but a requirement and this mandate is set out upfront prior to the start of each and every project with the trades he manages.

Bailey Gibson – Senior Estimator

Bailey is the newest addition to the Synerex Team. Bailey  brings with him over 30 years’ experience in the ICI, P3, commercial / residential sectors and is fully seasoned with regards to multi trade disciplined projects. Bailey  has worked across North America on many different types of projects  which include ground up ( phased over as much as 5 years) as well build out’s and remodels.  Bailey’s experience working with all team members involved in each project from Sub-contractors, Site Project Managers,  Project Managers as well as municipal inspectors provides for a completed project, done on time, on Spec and on budget.

By Co-ordinating with the Senior Project Managers & the Synerex Team, Bailey ensures a smooth transition into the start of the project. Bailey’s relationships and  experience with our trade partners further enhances the overall experience for our clients and the successful completion of their projects

Bailey holds certificates in Plumbing, Refrigeration, Gas Fitting, HVAC Mechanic, Site and Project Management/ Estimation. These certificates as well as Bailey’s ability to develop long standing relationships with our Sub-Trade partners ensures that each project is completed to Spec and Design, in a cohesive manner. The results being a smooth process for our clients from starts to project completion.

Shanth Jayaveer – Project Coordinator

Sheshanth joined Synerex in the role of a Project Coordinator.  Sheshanth is a graduate of George Brown College and holds degrees in Construction Science and Construction Project Management.

Sheshanth handles communication’s with our sub trades in respect to new bid opportunities, contract negotiations with our trades, issuing work orders and following up with close down documentation such as CCDC9B’s, Lien Waivers, etc.  Sheshanth values the relationships we have with our trades and continues to form new relationship throughout Canada and the US.

Sheshanth is integral in meeting with the Project Managers on a daily basis in order to facilitate their requirements and assists on site walks and site visits once the projects have begun.

Sheshanth role with Synerex is key to the success of each project and we are pleased to have him on our Team

Fran Ford – Accounting Manager

Fran comes to Synerex Construction Group Inc. with over 30 years of finance and operations experience.

Fran’s experience encompasses directing all Financial, Payroll, HR, IT, Customer Service, Purchasing, Warehouse and Distribution activities for small to medium sized Canadian corporations as well as managing Canadian subsidiaries of large US corporations.   Industry experience includes, publishing, manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation, and consumer products.

Fran’s knowledge of different accounting software programs allows her to accurately manage the financial aspects of our customer’s projects which ensures a smooth and seamless accounting process from beginning to project close out.

Fran’s ability to manage the day to day accounting responsibilities of Synerex Construction Group is a direct result of her dedication to accounting accuracy.

Carrie Fisher – Administration Manager

Carrie comes to Synerex Construction Group Inc. with over 15 years of direct administration management experience within the construction sector. Carrie is responsible for accounts payable and receivable and is well versed in several different management software’s.

Carrie was a key member of the Safety Council at her previous position and as such holds numerous certificates in safety training, first aid, fall arrest, scissor lift, fork lift operation, etc. Carrie is responsible for the safety training at Synerex and ensures that all of our site superintendents have the necessary safety training and certificates as well as all necessary site documentation such as local emergency numbers, maps to the closest hospitals, tool box topic binders, etc.

Carrie further ensures that all of our internal documentation such as CCDC forms and Lien Waivers are properly documented and the necessary insurance documents have been completed and sent to our clients accordingly.

Carrie is an integral person in ensuring our Project Managers are keeping their Job Costing Reports up to date and accurate.

Site Project Management Team

Synerex has 6 key Site Project management team members.  Our Project Site Managers are well experienced and diversified, within the ICI construction sector and all with ground up construction backgrounds.

Our team has managed projects from $5,000.00 to $25,000,000.00. Every project is viewed with the same professional objective, to provide our clients with a completed project, on time and on budget.
